There’s many of moving pieces and logistics to consider after getting a YES from a brand. Here are a few prompts to help you think through each detail you will need to arrange to make your remote photoshoot come to life.
1) Where is the photoshoot? Which exact town or location within a town will it take place?
2) Where will you be staying during the shoot and how far is it from the location? How will you be traveling to get to the exact location of the shoot? What mode of transportation will you need and how much does it cost?
3) How is the model getting to set? What time is call time for the model?
4) Will you be able to scout in advance? Make sure to take photos of what areas you’d like to use to pair with the collection later!
5) What odds and ends will you need to pack for the shoot day? Hangers? Rolling rack? Steamer/iron? Baby wipes? Tanning oil? Props? Band-aids? Hair clips?
6) How will you be bringing the collection to each different set?
7) Where will you be having meals?
8) Do you need to arrange travel between locations on shoot day?
9) Are there certain times that work best for each location you plan to shoot in? If so, when?
10) How is the collection getting to set? Are you bringing it or will it be mailed to a certain drop off point? If it’s a drop off point, how far away from the actual shoot is it?
